The Louet " Spring"

The Spring features the parallel counter march system for harness action and the moving breast beam to control the tension of the wrap. These inovations make the Spring a unique product that match the highest expectations weavers may have concerning the functional quality of the loom. The special device that attaches harness bars and lams to the Texsolv cord of the countermarch,allows exact adjustment of their height. On average, with the counter march you have to make twice the number of tie-ups, compared to a jack loom. On Louet looms however, making or changing tie-ups is very easy. Simply hook on the supplied Texsolv cords, which are pre-cut to the right length. The warp beam is held by a friction brake, so you can advance the fabric sitting at your loom. The design of the loom includes a built in raddle on top of the castle and a storage shelf for keeping the things you need within easy reach.

The Spring is made of beech, nicely laquered and both width, 90 and 110cm, can be ordered as a kit or almost completely assembled as a 4,8, or 12 harness loom. (resp. 6,10, and 14 treadles) The Spring 90 and 110 come with 800 resp. 1200 Texsolv 39cm heddles, stainless steel reed 40/10 (10 dents), cross and tie-up sticks, 16 warp sticks and clear instructions.

Dimensions: Width: Spring 90 117cm (46"), Spring 110: 135cm (53"), Height 115cm (45"),Depth 94cm (34") and 68cm(27") folded. Shipping weight of the 4 harness versions 41kg (91lbs) to 45kg (100lbs). Add 7kg(15lbs) for each 4 harness/treadle set. The spring as a kit comes in three boxes and the assembled Spring in two boxes.

Optional: Extension 4 harness and treadles, matching bench, and a second warp beam including extra back beam, sectional warp beam with sections of 2cm( 1").
